Whether you are a dedicated flats fisherman or just wanting to get out on the water and catch whatever may be biting, you will not be disappointed in the quality of fishing experiences available near the Jaguar Reef Lodge.

The Sittee River, which is located approx. 1/2 mile west of the Lodge has seasonal runs of Tarpon and Snook. The nearby Cays and adjoining flats are well known for their large populations of Bonefish and Permit, and the reefs nearby reefs are prime habitat for Barracuda, Kingfish and Wahoo.

Offshore lies the barrier reef and clusters of deserted coral caves. Underwater there are hundreds of brightly-colored tropical fish as well as dolphin, manatee and marine turtles.

Nestled on miles of golden sand
beach between the Maya Mountains and the Caribbean Sea, the fourteen traditional thatch-roof cabanas and spacious lodge combine a sense of relaxation with comfortable accommodations. By incorporating ecological and conservation goals, Jaguar Reef Lodge has created an ideal base to explore the wonders of a pristine barrier reef, abundant off-shore cayes, and protected rainforests.
